Spot Light

The United States Olympic Committee provided all Olympic sponsors with free rein to design a surfboard to celebrate the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

These Olympic surfboards were displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and then hung in the Team USA house during the Olympic Games.

I love to design but when you create with purpose Oooweeee !! I wanted to created something that represents her, so I started off with a heart  but it couldn't be any heart it had to be a special heart just like hers  A Diamond Heart

A few little facts about diamonds:
1. They are the hardest natural substance found on earth, so this will protect her beautiful Soul

2. In Ancient times, they were worn to promote strength, invincibility, and courage. At age three, Cassie's was diagnosed with cancer. She had a tumor the size of tennis ball in her chest and she beat it! She conquered Cancer!

3. A pure diamond should transmit visible light and appear as a clear colorless crystal. Additionally, a diamond is highly regarded for its beauty and ability to reflect light in an extremely dazzling way. This reminded me of Cassie's heart and spirit - pure, beautiful and extremely dazzling!

Oakley Inc

Solroots partnership with child Superhero Cassie, a cancer survivor, to help raise money for cancer research. At such a young age, she has a passion for helping others. I got inspired and had so much fun working on this project. I created the whole collection and got to meet and hang out with a real super hero.
